Tim LAM

Physiotherapist

Languages spoken: Cantonese and English

Tim’s physiotherapy career thus far has been inspired by his very own journey, after recovering from a debilitating disc herniation injury and subsequently returning to powerlifting (squatting over 170kg). This has empowered him with the invaluable experience, insights and compassion necessary to help patients return to doing the things they love.

Highly appreciative of individuality and autonomy, Tim believes that an individualised treatment programme specific to personal needs and goals is pivotal to results. He utilises a multi-faceted treatment approach with manual therapy and functional exercise at the core of every patient’s personal treatment plan.

After graduating from Loughborough University with a BSc (Hons) in Sports and Exercise Science, Tim completed a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy with Distinction in the UK. He then worked in trauma orthopaedics in the NHS before returning to Hong Kong to work at a private hospital to diversify his experience.

Tim has worked in various specialties, including orthopaedics, stroke rehabilitation and respiratory, alongside sports physiotherapy for Kowloon RFC. He continues to develop his professional skills, having undergone training in clinical acupuncture, osteopathic spinalmanipulation treatment and NASM personal training.

As an exercise lover himself, Tim is committed to helping his patients fulfil their sport and fitness ambitions while enjoying the process. In his spare time, he enjoys powerlifting and calisthenics, and is also an avid runner, hiker and footballer.
