Urban taxis (red) serve most destinations throughout Hong Kong. You can pick up a taxi at the Taxi Station, which can be reached by the left-hand ramp outside the Arrivals Hall.
It takes approximately 30 minutes from HKIA to Central, depending on the traffic condition and which cross harbour tunnel you choose. The taxi fare is approximately HK$300-350.
They are available to take passengers to major hotels in Hong Kong. You can approach their service counters inside the Coach Station of Terminal 2.
If you are entering Hong Kong from Mainland China at the Lo Wu and Lok Ma Chau checkpoint, you can take the local Mass Transit Railway (MTR) train. It takes approximately 1 hour from Lo Wu / Lok Ma Chau to Central at HK$44+. Click here for more detail.
MTR runs regular intercity through-train services between Guangdong Province, Beijing and Shanghai. The through train terminus is MTR Hung Hom Station on the Kowloon harbour-front, where travellers go through Hong Kong Immigration control to town after passing through Hong Kong Immigration.
There are high-speed ferry services linking Hong Kong to the neighbouring ports in China.

The MTR is very rarely affected by traffic jams and bad weather. It only takes a few minutes to wait for a train. The MTR runs from approximately 6am in the morning until 1am the following day, seven days a week, all 365 days of the year.

The well-known Star Ferry serves routes between Tsimshatsui and Central / Tsimshatsui and Wanchai.
